My little cheeky monkey is now 11 months old (I know, where did that time go!?)
She is getting more and more independent by the day and this includes wanting to feed herself. As tedious as it is dealing with the mess that results, it is fun watching her explore different textures and tastes with food.
I am now looking for more and more finger food ideas for her. She loves fruit and grated cheese is a favourite. But I’ve been looking for more ‘main meal’ ideas to give her when she won’t let me spoon feed her.
Recently I bought a little silicone mini muffin tray from kmart and hadn’t made anything in it yet so decided to try some mini baby frittatas and they turned out really well!
Approx 4 tablespoons milk
2 handfuls grated zucchini
2-3 tablespoons SR flour
2 handfulls grated cheese
Whisk & pour into muffin tray. Bake for approx 20 mins in 180 degree oven (or until golden on top)
NOTE: They will sink after you get them out the oven and they start to cool, this is okay!
One of my friend’s also put me on to this site that has some grate ideas for finger foods!!
